Manchester the home of Kiku Girl, is a hub of high-street fashion brands, companies that have started and thrived in Manchester, Proving it is the home of creative fashion talent and great place to launch your fashion career.
Many of the fashion brands below became successful during the e-commerce boom of the early 2000s, when fashion shops started to sell on-line. They all have in common that they sell young women’s fashion, that they buy direct from wholesale and sell to customers on-line. They spend loads of money on branding, marketing, getting great photographs, often with their clothes being worn by celebrities and have a great social media presence. Maybe you could start the next big internet fashion company, follow the rest of my “How to Start a Fashion Company Series” for hints and tips on how to do this.
